Rietveld refinement, a whole pattern fitting refinement technique, is one of the most important methods for structural analysis of crystalline materials. This Rietveld refinement workshop introduces the basic theory of X-ray diffraction (XRD) and factors that would affect an XRD pattern. Also, a 2-hour hands-on session will be including in this workshop! During the hands-on session, we will demonstrate how to use GSAS-II software for performing Rietveld analysis.
