Chris Winkler

Bio

Christopher Winkler received his BS in Materials Science & Engineering from Rice University in Houston, TX and his PhD in Materials Science & Engineering from Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA. He is nearing two decades of experience in the field of materials characterization using electron microscopy techniques, and has experience with preparing and imaging a wide range of material systems. He joined the Analytical Instrumentation Facility (AIF) in 2019 where his duties include assisting users with Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), Scanning Transmission Electron Microscopy (STEM), and sample preparation for S/TEM. He is currently the TEM Lab Manager at AIF. He is a member of the MSA and MRS societies.
